PGM - PROGRAM GOALS



PROGRAM GOALS

  • It is the goal of the PGA/PGM™ Program to graduate students with the necessary knowledge and criteria to become PGA members. It is important to note, PGA membership will not be granted to students who do not obtain U.S. citizenship or resident alien status within eight years of starting the PGA/PGM™ program.
  • The PGM program will provide a challenging and comprehensive academic experience, which will prepare students for professional work in the twenty-first century.

  • Faculty and staff within the PGM program will recruit a diverse, talented and well-rounded student population.

  • The PGM program will provide for each student a well-defined, comprehensive internship experience that will facilitate exemplary professional capabilities in all facets of golf management.

  • The PGM program will facilitate student’s accomplishment through the PGA/PGM program, including checkpoints and the Player Ability Test (PAT).

  • The PGM Program will be a valued asset to the University community, to the Las Vegas/Southern Nevada community, and to the golf community at large.
