Webinars and Certificates for Industry Professionals

On-going, live, one hour online seminars on a variety of topics.

Presenters are UNLV Hotel College full and part-time faculty, faculty from other renowned hospitality programs and top industry professionals. Each is an expert in the areas of their presentations.

Online Education

Webinars. On-going, live, one hour online seminars on a variety of topics. Webinars can be taken independently for $49, or as part of one of our certificate programs.

Webinars are recorded and participants receive a copy of the recording for review. (Webinars may be opened up in meeting rooms to share among staff, but only the registrant receives a certificate and CEU credit.)

Full Certificates are 60 hours of instruction for $2100. (6.0 CEU) Full certificates are offered in partnership with The International School of Hospitality (TISOH).
If you are new to the industry, or are investigating career choices, the full certificate is recommended. It will provide a sound foundation for lifelong learning.

Targeted Certificates are comprised of 10 live webinars for $490. Each webinar is $49. Six of the webinars are required and four are electives of your choice.

If you feel you have enough experience (at least 3 to 5 years) or if you have completed the full certificate, you may opt to take one of the Targeted Certificates. (10 webinars = 10 hours = 1.0 CEU = Certificate - for less than $500).

Corporations and Associations
We can customize special webinars for organizations. Your staff or members can all be in one meeting room with a screen and internet hookup - or all over the world at individual computers.

Educators
If you teach or train, learn something fresh to update your classes

Individuals
Upgrade your skills in one hour. No travel expenses or hassle, no time away from the job or home. Learn what you want and need to know from the experts.

Audio: Participants will listen to audio over their computer.

Visual: Presenters will utilize various visual media, including Power Point.

Interactive: Participants type questions into a chat box, and the presenter reads them aloud, then provides an answer.

Recordings: Sessions are recorded and participants receive a link to view again or share with staff.

Registration fee: $49 per one hour webinar with group discounts available. Online registration is through RegOnline and the session delivery will be on Adobe Connect 7

Webinars are scheduled on weekdays from 9:00 am until 10:00 am and from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm Pacific Time.  

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEU): CEUs provide a standard unit of measure by which organizations and professions may grant recognition for participation in Educational Outreach programs. CEUs can be used to qualify for association certification or recertification. One CEU is equal to 10 hours of instruction. CEUs do not constitute academic credit, but are maintained as a permanent, nationally recognized record for participating individuals. Participating in 10 webinars will earn one CEU. A certificate will be provided at that time.
