Undergraduate Transfer Admissions

Interested in transferring to UNLV and studying recreation and sport management? Here's how to get started.

1. Apply for admission to UNLV. Follow the step-by-step process outlined in the "Become a UNLV Student – Here's How" section of our website.
   
   
2. Find out the university's admission requirements for transfer students.
   
   *Note: When you are filling out the undergraduate application, be sure to indicate your major in the hotel college.
   
   
3. After you have been admitted to the university, if you have met the following hotel college requirements, you will automatically be admitted to the college.
   
   
4. Review the recreation degree worksheet to find out what is required for a bachelor of science recreation degree.

Requirements

• A 2.50 minimum GPA is required to be admitted to the college in good standing.
  
  
• International students must score a 525 or higher on the TOEFL test.

Admission Alternatives
Students who do not meet the minimum GPA requirement may be admitted under contract on a probationary basis. Students admitted on probationary status will be required to complete and sign a mandatory advisement contract by meeting with an advisor prior to registering for any classes. During this probationary period, students will be required to complete a minimum of 12 credits in their degree program and maintain a 2.50 UNLV GPA.
